The Universal Quick Disconnect Coupling standard is an open, anti-splash quick-release coupling specifically designed for data center liquid cooling. Initiated by Intel and developed under the OCP (Open Compute Project) framework, the UQD connector comes in four sizes—02, 04, 06, and 08 - and features well-defined physical and performance characteristics. Critical specifications such as flow rate rating, temperature rating, pressure rating, burst pressure, liquid loss upon disconnection, and flow coefficient ensure that the connectors meet the rigorous demands of modern data center cooling systems.
